Andy and I just got back from a trip to Portland, Oregon to celebrate our 5-year anniversary. It’s hard to believe it’s been that long, time flies, etc, etc. We had a wonderful trip. And, in case a similar milestone is coming up for you, I created this handy gift guide based on the traditional 5th wedding anniversary gift of wood.

-
For the traditionalist: red roses that will never wilt
-
For the gadget lover: a solid wood phone case
-
For the organizational junkie: eucalyptus storage boxes (perhaps filled with her favorite treat…)
-
For the hostess with the mostest: a personalized cutting board or a wood wick candle (bonus wood points for the campfire scent)
-
For the jewelry maven: wooden stud earrings or a wooden heart necklace
-
For the nature lover: Adopt an Acre from the Nature Conservancy
-
For the reader or advernturer: A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson
-
For the whiskey afficianado: Woodford Reserve Double Oaked (see, it’s EXTRA woody)
-
For the home: a tree!
-
And if you’re really just not into wood, then you can go big with the traditional 5th anniversary gemstone instead: sapphire and diamond anniversary band
Happy celebrating!
